DePauw University Scholar Shares Book Award With Her Husband

Nancy Davis-191x290Nancy J. Davis, professor emerita of sociology at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, is sharing with her husband the gold medal in the religion category of the 2013 Independent Publisher Book Awards. Her coauthor and husband is Robert V. Robinson, Chancellor’s Professor in the College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University in Bloomington.

The couple was honored for their book, Claiming Society for God: Religious Movements and Social Welfare (Indiana University Press, 2012). Before her retirement from teaching, Davis served as the Lester Martin Jones Professor of Sociology at DePauw.
