Smith College Names Art Gallery for Its Departing President

Smith College has announced that it is creating a new art gallery to honor its President Carol T. Christ. President Christ has served as president since 2002 and will retire at the end of the academic year.

The new Carol T. Christ Asian Art Gallery will be built in the Smith College Museum of Art. Space will be configured on the museum’s lower level to create the new 1,250-square-foot gallery. The gallery is expected to open in the fall of 2015.
