Report Analyses the Status of Women at Penn State

PSUSealThe Commission for Women at Pennsylvania State University has issued a new report examining the status of women at the state’s flagship university. The report, Status of Women at Penn State, 2001-11, finds that women have a low presence on the university’s board of trustees. And the percentage of women in faculty ranks decreases as they move up the ladder from instructor to professor.

The report also found that while women enrollments in the law and medical schools mirror the national averages, women in other graduate programs and in undergraduate programs trail the national norm.
