Dean of the College of Education at the University of North Carolina Charlotte to Retire

calhounMary Lynne Calhoun, dean of the College of Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, has announced that she will step down at the end of June. She has served the university as a faculty member and administrator for more than 30 years. She joined the faculty in 1982 as an assistant professor of special education. She has served as dean of the College of Education since 1999.

Dr. Calhoun is a graduate of Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia.
