Urban Affairs Association Honors West Virginia University Sociologist

woldoffWVUBookRachael A. Woldoff, an associate professor of sociology at West Virginia University, has been selected to receive the 2013 Best Book in Urban Affairs Award from the Urban Affairs Association. Dr. Woldoff will be honored on April 5 at the association’s annual meeting in San Francisco.

The award, given every two years. recognized a book on urban affairs or urban studies. Dr. Woldoff’s award-winning book is White Flight/Black Flight: The Dynamics of Racial Change in an American Neighborhood (Cornell University Press).

Dr. Woldoff holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in sociology from Ohio State University.
