University of Kentucky Historian Lien-Hang Nguyen Wins Book Award

nguyenHanoisWarLien-Hang T. Nguyen, associate professor of history at the University of Kentucky, has been selected to receive the Stuart L. Bernath Book Prize from the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations. The prize recognizes the best book by a first-time author in the field of diplomatic history.

Professor Nguyen is being honored for her book Hanoi’s War: An International History of the War for Peace in Vietnam (University of North Carolina Press, 2012). She will receive the award in April at the meeting of the Organization of American Historians in San Francisco.

Dr. Nguyen is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. She holds a Ph.D. from Yale University.
