Three Women Among the Inaugural Fung Global Fellows

round-logo[180]The Fung Global Fellows Program at the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies has announced the first six Fung Fellows. The new fellows will come to Princeton in the fall for a year of research and writing. They will also participate in a weekly public seminar series. All of the new Fung Fellows have received their doctorates within the past 10 years.

Three of the six Fung Fellows are women.

Pritipuspa Mishra is a lecturer in history at the University of Southampton in England. She is conducting research on the Orissa region of India. Dr. Mishra holds a master’s degree from the University of Hyderabad in India. She earned a Ph.D. in South Asian history from the University of Minnesota.

Brigitte Rath is an assistant professor of comparative literature at the University of Innsbruck in Austria. Her research focuses on 18th- and 19th-century texts in French, German, and English that claim to be translations. She holds a master’s degree in European literature from the University of Sussex and a doctorate from Maximilians University in Munich, Germany.

Ying Ying Tan is an assistant professor of linguistics and multilingual studies at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Her research concerns the languages policies of Singapore. She holds a doctorate in linguistics from the University of Singapore.
