In Memoriam: Margaret A. Morrison, 1963-2013

Margie-Morrison-268x300Margaret A. Morrison, professor and director of the School of Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, died last week at the age of 49.

Professor Morrison joined the faculty at the University of Tennessee in 1995. In 2011 she was named interim director of the School of Advertising and Public Relations and a year later was named to the post on a permanent basis. Before joining the University of Tennessee faculty, she worked as an audience research analyst for the MTV network.

Professor Morrison was a graduate of Southern Illinois University. She held a master’s degree in telecommunications management from Ohio University and a Ph.D. in mass communication from the University of Georgia.
