Wichita State University Professor Earns High Honor From the French Government

DavisHeadshotLynn Davis, the Ann and Dennis Ross Endowed Faculty of Distinction in Organ and associate professor in the School of Music at Wichita State University in Kansas, received the Chevalier de l’Ordre Arts et des Lettres from the French Ministry of Culture and Communication.

Professor Davis, a native of Michigan, spent more than 30 years in France before joining the faculty at Wichita State in 2006. In France, she served on the faculty at the French National Regional Conservatory in Caen and the Conservatory of Music in Clamart.

At Wichita State University, in addition to teaching Professor Davis performs eight times each year as part of the Wiedemann organ recital series. The concerts are free and are open to the public.

Professor Davis is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
