In Memoriam: Caroline Breese Hall, 1939-2012

HALLCAROLINECaroline Breese Hall, a professor in the department of pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center, died at her home last month. She was 73 years old.

Dr. Hall was an expert on viral diseases in children, particularly respiratory syncytial virus and roseola. She was a founding member and past president of the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society. Over her career she published more than 500 articles in research journals.

Professor Hall was a graduate of Wellesley College, where she majored in chemistry. She earned her medical degree at the University of Rochester and completed her residency at Yale.
