Azita Emani Named Dean of the School of Nursing at the University of Washington

EmamiAzitaCrop-300x419The University of Washington School of Nursing has announced that this July Azita Emani will takeover the Robert G. and Jean A. Reid Endowed Deanship in Nursing at the school. Dr. Emani is currently a professor and dean of the College of Nursing at Seattle University. She has held that post since 2008. Previously, she was an endowed professor in elderly care research at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. In her new post, Dr. Emani will earn an annual salary of $320,000.

Dr.  Emani holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a master’s degree in international health care, a nursing education degree and a doctorate in medical sciences, all from the Karolinska Institutet.
