The New Director of the University of Arizona Press

Kathryn Conrad was appointed director of the University of Arizona Press, the nonprofit publisher of scholarly and regional books. On average, the press publishes about 60 titles each year with emphasis on American Indian studies, anthropology, archaeology, Latin American studies, border studies, and the environment.

Conrad, who is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, had been serving as the interim director of the University of Arizona Press. She has been on the staff at the publishing house for 15 years. Previously, she worked at the University of Missouri Press.
