Marian Chertow Named President of the International Society for Industrial Ecology

ChertowMarianinsideMarian Chertow, associate professor of industrial environmental management at the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies at Yale University, was elected president of the International Society for Industrial Ecology. Founded in 2001, the society has more than 500 members in 41 countries around the world.

Dr. Chertow is a graduate of Barnard College in New York City. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from Yale University. Since 1991, she has been the director of the Industrial Environmental Management Program at Yale.
