Six Women Join the Faculty at the University of Wisconsin Sheboygan

The University of Wisconsin Sheboygan has hired six new women to its faculty.

Ann Mathis was named an assistant professor of English. She was a visiting professor of English at Marquette University and served as a lecturer in English and women’s studies at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Dr. Mathis holds bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees from Loyola University of Chicago.

Julie Konik was hired as an assistant professor of psychology/education. She was an associate lecturer of psychology at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. Dr. Konik holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D.  in psychology and women’s studies from the University of Michigan.

Kathy Pedersen was named an associate lecturer in music where she will teach piano. Since 2008, she has served as a choir accompanist at the university. Pedersen is a graduate of Lawrence University.

Stephanie Evenson is a new senior lecturer in biology. She was an instructor and resident veterinarian at Globe University. Dr. Evenson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and holds a master’s degree in bacteriology and a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin.

Leigh Ann Kramer is a new senior lecturer in education. She was chair of the early childhood education and child care services programs at Lakeshore Technical College. Dr. Kramer holds a doctorate in educational psychology from Marquette University.

Yer Lang was appointed associate lecturer of history. Lang is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. She holds a master’s degree from Lakeland College.
