University of New Mexico’s Center on Alcoholism, Substance Abuse, and Addictions Names Two Women to Its Faculty

The University of New Mexico’s Center on Alcoholism, Substance Abuse, and Addictions has added two women to its faculty.

Sarah Feldstein Ewing was named a clinical pediatric psychologist. She has been serving at the university’s Mind Research Network and as an assistant professor in the university’s Honors Program. Her current research focuses on racial and ethnic disparities in substance abuse treatment.

Dr. Feldstein is a graduate of Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of New Mexico.

Katie Witkiewitz was appointed an associate professor of psychology with tenure. She had been teaching at Washington State University. Her research is focused on alcohol relapse.

Dr. Witkiewitz is a graduate of the State University of New York at Potsdam. She holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Washington.
