Five Women Join the Faculty at Misericordia University

Misericordia University in Dallas, Pennsylvania, has announced the addition of 11 new faculty members this fall. Five of the new faculty are women.

Abigail P. Davis was named assistant professor of physician assistant studies. She was serving as a physician’s assistant at Emergency Services in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Davis holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Marywood University in Scranton.

Elisa P. Korb was appointed assistant professor of fine arts. She was an assistant professor of humanities and law at Anderson University in South Carolina. Dr. Korb is a graduate of Adelphi University in Garden City, New York and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Birmingham in England.

Jennifer Dessoye is a new assistant professor of occupational therapy. She was an occupational therapist for the Hazelton Area School District in Pennsylvania and an adjunct professor at Misericordia. She holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from Misericordia University.

Tracy Golder was appointed an assistant professor of nursing. She was an assistant professor at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Golder is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Technology and holds a master’s degree from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania. She is a doctoral candidate at Capella University.

Brenda Pavill was named associate professor of nursing. She was an associate professor at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Dr. Pavill is a graduate of Wilkes University. She holds master’s degrees from Bloomsburg University and Misericordia University and earned her doctorate at Marywood University.
