Sandra Wood to Lead the College of Engineering at Oregon State University

Sandra Woods was named dean of the College of Engineering at Oregon State University. The college has an enrollment of more than 5,200 students and employs faculty and staff of more than 250. The college has an annual budget of $73 million.

For the past six years, Dr. Woods has been dean of the College of Engineering at Colorado State University. She previously taught engineering at Oregon State from 1984 to 2001. Her research is focused on bioremediation and biotransformation of environmental contaminants.

Dr. Woods is a graduate of Michigan State University. She earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in civil engineering from the University of Washington.
