American Distance Education Consortium Honors West Virginia University Dean

Sue Day-Perroots, dean of extended learning at Western Virginia University, received the Irving Award, the highest honor bestowed by the American Distance Education Consortium.

Dr. Day-Perroots was named director of extended learning at WVU in 1993 and was promoted to dean in 2001. More than 5,000 students are enrolled in WVU’s extended learning offerings, which include 25 graduate degree and certificate programs.

Dr. Day Perroots is a graduate of Fairmont State University in West Virginia. She hold a master’s degree and an educational doctorate from West Virginia University.
