Two Women Scholars Promoted at Stanford University

Nancy Zhang was promoted to associate professor of statistics at Stanford University. She has been on the Stanford faculty since 2006. Dr. Zhang holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, all from Stanford University. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California at Berkeley.

Christina Smolke was promoted to associate professor of biochemistry. Dr. Smolke is a graduate of the University of Southern California and holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. She did postdoctoral research at Berkeley in cell biology.
