Gail Mee Announces She Will Leave the Presidency of Henry Ford Community College

Gail Mee, the fourth president of Henry Ford Community College and the only woman to service in the post, has announced that she will leave her position as soon as the board of trustees can find her replacement. Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, Michigan, enrolls about 18,500 students.

Dr. Mee has led the college since July 2006. Previously, she was vice president for academic affairs at Mesa Community College in Arizona. She told the board that she is leaving the president to pursue other opportunities.

Dr. Mee holds a doctorate in college teaching and academic leadership from the Teachers College at Columbia University in New York City.
