Toni Morrison Receives the Beacon Award at the University of Pennsylvania

Nobel laureate Toni Morrison, professor emerita at Princeton University, received the Beacon Award from the University of Pennsylvania. The award is given to individuals who have shown a strong commitment to advancing, supporting, and promoting women. Professor Morrison is the 11th recipient of the Beacon Award. Hillary Clinton and Sandra Day O’Connor are among the past winners of the honor.

Toni Morrison is the author of 10 novels including her latest work, Home, which will be published in May.
