Two Women Among the Three Finalists for Vice President of Student Affairs at Virginia Tech

Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, has announced three finalists for the position of vice president for student affairs. The three candidates will all visit campus in early April for open forums and interviews. Two of the three finalists are women.

Robin Holmes is vice president for student affairs and interim vice president for institutional equity and diversity at the University of Oregon. Holmes holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from California State University at Fullerton. She earned a second master’s degree and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology.

Patricia Perillo is associate dean of students at Davidson College in North Carolina. Previously, she was assistant vice president for student affairs and director of student life at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Dr. Perillo holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Delaware. She earned a Ph.D. in public and community health from the University of Maryland.

Update: Perillo was selected as vice president for student affairs on April 30.
