Four Women Granted Tenure at Lee University

Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, recently awarded tenure to eight faculty members. Four of the tenure awards went to women.

Christie Kleinmann has been serving as an assistant professor of communication since 2006. Dr. Kleinmann is a graduate of King College. She holds a master’s degree from Auburn University and a Ph.D. in communication and public relations from the University of Tennessee.

Lisa Long joined the department of Christian ministries in 2006. She currently serves as director of graduate studies in the field. Dr. Long is a graduate of Lee University and holds a master’s degree from the Church of God Theological Seminary. Dr. Long earned a Ph.D. at Biola University in La Mirada, California.

Kelly Lumpkin has been a faculty member in the department of health, exercise, and secondary education since 2005. A graduate of Austin Peay State University, Dr. Lumpkin earned a master’s degree in exercise science from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. from Middle Tennessee State University.

Lori West joined the department of natural sciences and mathematics in 2006 and currently teaches biology. Dr. West is a graduate of Maryville College and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee.
