Survey Finds That Women Place Greater Value on Higher Education Than Men

A new survey by the Pew Research Center finds that women value higher education more than men. One half of all women who have graduated from a four-year college report that they consider higher education to be have been a good value for the money they or their parents spent on their education. Only 37 percent of men who graduated from four-year colleges agreed.

The survey also found that 77 percent of respondents believe a college education is necessary for women to succeed in life. But only 68 percent of all respondents said college was necessary for a man to succeed.
