Six Women Appointed to New Administrative Positions in Higher Education

TiaDeLouiseTia DeLouise was named campus operating officer for the Clifton, New Jersey, campus of Berkeley College. She has been on the staff at Berkeley College for 30 years. She has been serving as vice president for academic administration and will continue in that role.

DeLouise is a graduate of Montclair State University in New Jersey. She holds an MBA from New York University.

WEB_AllardMonique Sosa Allard was named assistant provost for student engagement at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She was executive director of student support and equity programs at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona.

Dr. Allard is a graduate of California State University, Los Angeles. She holds a master’s degree and an educational doctorate from the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California.

SarahSmith-webSarah A. Smith was appointed associate vice president for state and corporate relations at West Virginia University. She has been director of government and external affairs for Alpha Natural Resources.

Smith is a summa cum laude graduate of Glenville State College in West Virginia. She holds a law degree from West Virginia University and an MBA from the University of Charleston.

maggiwebMaggi Murdock was named interim vice president for academic affairs at the University of Wyoming. Dr. Murdock is a professor of political science at the university and has agreed to serve for a minimum of six months in her new post. Professor Murdock joined the university’s faculty in 1975.

Dr. Murdock is a graduate of Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from Tufts University.

Carla_Ho_ACarla Ho-a was promoted to assistant vice chancellor for administration auxiliaries at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She joined the staff at the university in March 2013 as director of administrative projects.

Ho-a holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA from the University of Colorado at Denver.

diana_prietoDiana Prieto was named executive director for human resources and equal opportunity at Colorado State University. She has been serving as director of the Office of Equal Opportunity.

Prieto has been on the staff at Colorado State University for the past four years. She is a graduate of Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, and the law school at Tulane University in New Orleans.
