The New President of the American Society of Transplantation

Roslyn Bernstein Mannon was elected president of the American Society of Transplantation, the world’s largest organization representing transplant professionals.

Dr. Mannon is a professor of medicine and surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. There, she is also the director of research at the university’s Comprehensive Transplant Institute. Her research is focused on the causes of kidney failure.

Dr. Mannon has been on the faculty at UAB since 2008. She has been a member of the American Society of Transplantation since 1994 and has served on its board of directors since 2007.

Dr. Mannon completed her medical degree at the Duke University School of Medicine.
